Irish cyclist Caroline Ryan has announced her retirement from the sport.
She has represented Ireland on the international stage since 2008, winning medals on both the Olympic and Paralympic High Performance Programmes.
Highlights of her career include a bronze medal at the World Track Championships in Melbourne in 2012, the first World Championship medal in over 100 years, and a bronze medal in the Track Cycling World Cup in Mexico, in 2013.
The multiple-National Champion also won a silver medal as a pilot for Catherine Walsh at the 2009 Paracycling Track World Championships, being the first bike to win a medal for Ireland at Paracycling World level.

Meanwhile, there were second round wins for Mark Allen and Joe Swail.
