Jackie Tyrell has shot down suggestions that Brian Cody’s continuing as Kilkenny manager is hurting the county in the long-run.

Recently, former Clare boss Ger Loughnane suggested that Cody should step aside while the county was still strong enough for his successor to pick up the reigns.

Becker has worked for the past three years with the Serb, helping him win six Grand Slams during that period.
