« BackSneem Resource Centre funding stolen in break-in

GARDAAround a third of the money needed to run a resource centre in south Kerry has been stolen in a break-in.

Over the weekend, the Sneem Resource Centre was broken into and €1,000, which had been raised in the annual local Christmas Craft Fair, was taken.

The centre is a self-funded facility, operated for over 20 years by volunteers.

Gardai in Kenmare are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious over the weekend in the area to contact them.
