Listowel Garda District is to lose its most senior manager Superintendent Willie Leahy.
He is one of 16 superintendents to be moved in the first reshuffle of personnel under the acting Commissioner Noirin O’Sullivan.
Superintendent Leahy is being transferred to Clonmel next week on the 10th of June.
As there is currently no list of newly promoted Superintendents in existence, it is unknown how long Listowel will have to wait for a new appointment to the position.
It’s likely that the responsibilities of the role will be fulfilled until then by one of the three Inspectors in the Kerry Division.
