« BackKCC to make submission on rail network report

Kerry County Council is preparing a submission on the Rail Review Report, which recommends ending direct trains between Kerry and Dublin.

Cllr Norma Foley raised the matter at the local authority’s monthly meeting and said if every train must change at Mallow this will put Kerry at a considerable disadvantage.

The report, which was published last month and pointed to a significant funding gap in the rail network nationally, is now out for public consultation.

Kerry County Council said it is reviewing the comprehensive report and will make a submission before the January 18th deadline and councillors will be invited to include further comments if they wish.
